Webinar on Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Inspection Methods, July 26

Experts to discuss disruptive power of UAS and how companies can harness it

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar with industry experts who are using unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to augment traditional inspection methods on Wednesday, July 26, from 3 to 4 p.m. EDT.

UAS allow unprecedented access to dangerous and hard-to-reach areas and enable companies to inspect ongoing projects and assess work sites more thoroughly than ever. More detailed inspections by UAS allow builders to gauge their projects and provide realistic expectations to clients. This webinar will include examples of how successful companies use UAS to inspect holdings and increase profits.

During the webinar, Dave Truch, a technology director at BP, will explain what applications his company has found for UAS when it comes to inspecting potentially hazardous conditions. He will then share best practices and lessons learned. Other panelists will elaborate on what steps the industry is taking to more effectively tailor UAS to inspection requirements. They will also provide their assessments on how unmanned technologies will further disrupt conventional inspection methods the in the future.

Registration for the webinar is complimentary for AUVSI members and qualified media, and $49 for non-members. Registration will close at 10:00 a.m. EST the day of the webinar. For more information or to register, contact Tom McMahon at tmcmahon@auvsi.org or (571) 255-7786.
