This week, the Dawn of Autonomy podcast closes “Global Ops” month sponsored by FIXAR with Godfrey Nolan, President of Research Into Internet Systems (RIIS), a firm based in Troy, Michigan that specializes in development services for drone software and hardware.

Nolan has authored six books and at RIIS he leads a team that over the past decade, has partnered with more than 50 drone companies—delivering ground control systems (GCS) for Aerodome and Darkhive, Android control apps for Teal, ATAK plugins, and web portal integrations for Rantizo. RIIS also builds advanced machine learning drone apps for real-time object detection and supports custom hardware integration from cameras and sensors to bespoke remote controllers. Godfrey also runs a monthly drone software meetup group for like-minded drone developers which has over 1,200 members from all across the globe.
