Fugro Appoints Videosoft Global As Primary Video Streaming Partner for Bandwidth-Managed Operations Across Its Global Fleet
March 4, 2026
Videosoft Global, a leader in mission-critical and bandwidth-adaptive video streaming, has signed an enterprise-level agreement with Fugro, a global provider of geodata, survey, and offshore services for the energy, maritime, and infrastructure sectors, to become the organisation’s primary real-time video solution provider.
The agreement follows a competitive global tender against multiple international vendors, with Videosoft selected as the best-in-class solution for Fugro’s operational requirements. The deal covers Fugro’s expanding fleet of Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) as well as supporting remote operations across Fugro’s conventional crewed fleet of vessels.
Enterprise-Grade Video Across Constrained and High-Throughput Networks
Videosoft was selected for its ability to deliver both high-quality deliverable video and deterministic real-time streaming across a wide range of network conditions, from low-bandwidth and congested satellite links through to high-throughput services such as Starlink.
At the core of the deployment is Videosoft’s FireLight™ software platform, which dynamically optimises video streams in real time based on available bandwidth, network quality, and operational priority. This allows Fugro to deliver flawless high-definition video for clients and surveys, while also supporting low-latency operational video for remote operations and monitoring, without requiring separate systems for each use case.
FireLight’s adaptive architecture enables consistent performance across mixed satellite, RF, and IP networks, maintaining stability and image quality even as network conditions fluctuate across Fugro’s global operations.
Responsiveness and Rapid Deployment
Responsiveness and short development cycles were central to Fugro’s decision. During the tender process, Videosoft worked closely with Fugro teams to tailor functionality, deliver rapid iterations, and accelerate deployment across vessels and Remote Operations Centres (ROCs).
Videosoft’s adaptive streaming capability has demonstrated versatility across Fugro’s energy, hydrographic, and geophysical projects, enabling Fugro to deploy a single, unified video platform across both uncrewed and crewed vessels, rather than maintaining separate systems for different operational needs.
Executive Commentary
Mark Sykes, Sales Manager, EMEA at Videosoft Global, commented:
“Securing an enterprise agreement with Fugro is a significant milestone for Videosoft. Fugro required more than low-bandwidth video — they needed precise operational control, rapid deployment, and a solution that could scale reliably across a global fleet.
Being selected following a competitive global tender reflects Fugro’s confidence in our technology, our responsiveness, and our ability to support complex, mission-critical remote operations at scale.”
Mike Liddell, Director – Remote Operations Centres at Fugro, added:
“By incorporating Videosoft’s video streaming into our Remote Operations Centres (ROC), we can access real-time visual data from both uncrewed and crewed vessels across a wide range of network conditions. The platform allows us to deliver highly optimised, adaptive video over constrained links, while also supporting flawless, high-quality deliverable video over high-bandwidth services such as Starlink. This flexibility enables us to meet both operational and client-facing requirements without compromise.”
