Beyond Vision Demonstrates Advanced Autonomous Capabilities at REPMUS 2025

Beyond Vision, a leading European UAV technology company, successfully demonstrated multiple next-generation unmanned capabilities during the REPMUS 2025 exercise, one of NATO’s multinational defense innovation event.

The demonstrations showcased Beyond Vision’s continued commitment to developing interoperable, mission-ready systems that enhance situational awareness, protection, and maritime intelligence.

Key operational highlights included:

  • Mine Detection: The BVQ418 quadcopter UAV, equipped with a Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD) system, successfully detected and identified sea mines during live operations.
  • Submarine Detection and Tracking: Using the same MAD technology, the BVQ418 identified and tracked submarine trajectories at depths of up to 175 meters, performing shipborne take-offs and landings.
  • Harbor Protection (Surveillance & Reconnaissance): The VTOne (BVT516) fixed-wing VTOL executed long-range surveillance missions up to 4 km, securing harbor and vessel movements during inbound and outbound operations.
  • Night Operations: The VTOne (BVT516) performed nighttime reconnaissance using a thermal camera, accurately identifying targets and maintaining performance in low-visibility conditions.
  • Precision Grenade Deployment: The BVQ418 smart quadcopter demonstrated a new modular payload system capable of carrying and deploying up to two grenades, either simultaneously or at separate locations, for coastal defense missions.
  • Mobile Ground Control Station (GCS): Beyond Vision introduced its new mobile GCS, designed to enable flexible operations and improved field command capability.
  • NATO Integration: All systems were tested under STANAG 4817, the NATO framework enabling unified command and control of multi-domain unmanned assets, ensuring full interoperability across air, sea, and ground systems.

“REPMUS 2025 was an opportunity to validate Beyond Vision’s readiness to support complex, multi-domain operations,” said Dário Pedro, CEO of Beyond Vision. “These demonstrations underscore our ability to integrate AI, advanced sensors, and resilient design to meet the operational demands of modern defense.”

The company’s performance reinforces its role as a key European contributor to defense technology innovation, supporting NATO interoperability and advancing the continent’s strategic autonomy in unmanned systems.
