AUVSI Welcomes Two New Members to Board of Directors
March 16, 2026
The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) today announced the immediate appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors fulfilling a term through 2027:
- Max Rosen, Director of Government Affairs at Echodyne Corp.
- Jason Lamb, Chief Executive Officer at LGL Group
AUVSI’s Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding the organization’s strategy and ensuring the global robotics and autonomy community has a strong, unified voice at a time of rapid technological advancement and intensifying global competition.
With policy momentum building, operational deployment accelerating, and governments increasing investment in robotics and autonomous systems, this year is shaping up to be autonomy’s defining year. The leadership and strategic guidance of AUVSI’s Board helps ensure the industry moves forward with alignment, trusted technologies, and a shared vision for scale.
Rosen brings deep expertise in federal policy and regulatory engagement. In his current role at Echodyne, and previously in his government affairs role on the staff at AUVSI, he has worked closely with Congress and federal agencies to advance policy frameworks supporting the integration and growth of the drone and advanced air mobility sectors. Earlier in his career, he served on Capitol Hill with the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, helping support legislative work related to aviation and emerging technologies.
Lamb brings extensive operational and national security leadership. A former U.S. Navy Commander who led special operations and intelligence teams within Naval Special Warfare as a SEAL, he helped advance unmanned and surveillance capabilities supporting national security missions. He later served as Chief Strategy Officer at BlackSea Technologies, a defense technology company focused on autonomous maritime and undersea capabilities, helping expand the company’s role in delivering innovative systems for the U.S. military and allied partners.
Together, their perspectives strengthen AUVSI’s ability to connect innovators, operators, policymakers, and investors across the autonomy ecosystem.
The appointments come during AUVSI’s Membership Month, which celebrates the companies and leaders who power the global autonomy community. This year’s theme, “Aligned for Acceleration” reflects the importance of bringing the full ecosystem together to move autonomy from promise to practice.
As the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to robotics and autonomous systems, AUVSI continues to convene the leaders, shape the policies, and build the trusted frameworks that enable autonomy to scale responsibly and competitively.
“We are entering a defining moment for the robotics and autonomous systems industry,” said Michael Robbins, AUVSI President & CEO. “Across domains, robotics and autonomous technologies are rapidly moving from concept to operational capability. That progress demands strong alignment between innovators, operators, and policymakers. Max and Jason bring exceptional experience from shaping policy on Capitol Hill to advancing robotics and autonomy capabilities in the national security sector, and their leadership will help ensure our community remains aligned to accelerate innovation, scale trusted technologies, and deliver the systems that will define the future of the industry.”
