The City of Peachtree Corners, Georgia and Prototype Prime, which is Peachtree Corners’ start-up incubator, have announced plans to create a city-owned and operated 1.4-mile autonomous vehicle track and an Advanced Vehicle Technology Accelerator.

Construction of the track is expected to begin shortly, and it has an anticipated open date of January 2019.

The track will be located just outside of Prototype Prime’s front door. The start-up incubator will serve as the “innovation, collaboration, and testing hub” for the city's advanced vehicle project.

“Advanced vehicles have the ability to improve the quality of life for people and success of businesses in many ways, and Prototype Prime is proud to be one of the innovators in this arena,” says Sanjay Parekh, Prototype Prime Co-Founder and Executive Director.

A partnership between Prototype Prime and TechConnectHub.com, the Advanced Vehicle Technology Accelerator’s goal is to facilitate collaboration between major local brands, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and technologists. These entities will work with partners throughout the advanced vehicle ecosystem to “focus on the transportation challenges of tomorrow.”

Besides providing open innovation scouting, TechConnectHub.com will also bring industry expertise and a global network of corporate innovation leaders to the table. These leaders have real problems, and answers, that the tech community can work on.
