Apex.AI, a developer of autonomous driving software, announces new investors
Autonomous driving software developer Apex.AI has announced its newest investors, which include Volvo Group Venture Capital, HELLA Ventures, and Jaguar Land Rover’s venture capital arm InMotion Ventures.
Volvo Group and Jaguar Land Rover are both well established automotive manufacturers, while HELLA is an international supplier of automotive electronics and lighting.
“We are eager to leverage their deep expertise in the mobility industry to move Apex.AI forward,” says Apex.AI co-founder Jan Becker.
Apex.AI describes its flagship product, Apex.OS, as a “safe and certified software framework for autonomous mobility systems.” According to Becker, Apex.AI will launch launch Apex.OS to the automotive market early next year, with plans to expand to other safety-critical autonomous systems, such as industrial robotics and aerospace, thereafter.
“Apex.OS, a software development environment that is based on ROS 2 and meets the highest functional safety standards, solves a real need in the industry and we are excited to be along for the ride,” says Marco Marinucci, partner at HELLA Ventures.
