Webinar Description:
Kongsberg Geospatial discusses the problem of accessing and exploiting legacy mission data at real-time to enable comparison to live sensor data.

One of the challenges facing organizations using unmanned systems is how to effectively exploit, store and access the mass of video and sensor data gathered using UAVs.

Unmanned systems are increasingly being adopted by military and civilian organizations for a variety of roles previously carried out with manned aircraft, including intelligence, infrastructure survey, and search and rescue operations. These drones can carry a variety of sensor packages, and produce a high volume of data including EO/IR full-motion video.

However, the sheer volume of data produced over days, weeks, months and years can introduce operational challenges.  Now being able to rapidly retrieve the sensor data from any mission in the past to compare with a mission underway in real-time will be a tremendous benefit for analysts.  Being able to create actionable intelligence briefing products to share with decision makers at real-time will dramatically shorten the decision cycle.

Kongsberg Geospatial’s MIDAS (Modular ISR Data Analysis and Storage) is a near real-time system for processing and sharing geolocated video and sensor data for UAS.

IRIS program director Paige Cutland will demonstrate how MIDAS provides a simple, powerful interface for reviewing and comparing real-time, near real-time and historical sensor data, including full-motion video.
