NAICC Annual Meeting and AG PRO EXPO
The NAICC Annual Meeting and AG PRO EXPO will be take place at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia, January 15-19, 2019. Come join our talented ag professionals as and participate in the AG PRO EXPO Trade Show attend the outstanding program featuring timely topics for Crop Consultants, Research Consultants and Quality Assurance Professionals.
Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue is the invited 2019 Keynote speaker and will make his remarks during the Plenary Session on Thursday, January 17. We are excited to be able to invite a Georgia native to give the keynote address and look forward to his confirmation of our invitation later this year. Consultant sessions and roundtable discussions will include topics such as pushing yield barriers in corn and soy, a look at pesticide regulations locally and globally, including GAP and food safety regulations and federal regulations effecting agriculture. Experts from various disciplines will discuss the role of biological products in ag production systems and the utilization of data management systems. Researchers will explore topics such as the use of drone technology in field research, photograph techniques for research and photo management, remote sensing equipment for small and large plot research, adjuvant research practices, , how to manage changing customer expectations, extending the life of your business and succession planning. Quality Assurance professionals will join the researchers to be updated on EPA regulations, USDA APHIS requirements, RNAi technology along with regulatory and stewardship guidelines for CRISPRs and other gene editing technology. QAs will then go back to the basics with a look at the GLP Preambles, the laws surrounding GLPs and discuss what happens when a facility closes, is bought out or merges from a GLP perspective. Consultant Education Units (CEUs ) awarded for these programs will be announced in the NAICC News, on the NAICC website and at the meeting registration.
The Exhibit Hall will be full of exhibitors from precision ag businesses, crop protection companies, equipment and technology firms, contract research organizations and analytical laboratories. Exhibits are open during the day and also at the Outgoing President’s Reception. The Foundation’s (FEAE) Silent Auction will also be in the exhibit hall with many proceeds going toward instrumental educational programs that benefit our agricultural industry at large.
