Drone Safety Day

Drone Safety Day (DSD) is an annual campaign designed to educate drone users on the importance of flying safely, inspiring fun drone activities, and connecting a community of enthusiasts.
DSD highlights the societal benefits of safe drone operations with in-person, virtual, and hybrid events as well as virtual content and curriculum.
The FAA held the inaugural National Drone Safety Awareness Week (DSAW) in 2019 and featured events in all 50 states, as well as Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. In 2022, the FAA re-tooled this safety awareness campaign to better leverage stakeholders and resources by launching a new initiative – Drone Safety Day.
