Let's Talk Drones
As the drone industry continues to soar, local universities, like North Carolina A&T State University, NC State University, and Elizabeth City State University are leading the charge in developing technology and preparing tomorrow's leaders to meet the demand in this growing industry.
Join AUVSI North Carolina on July 30th from 4-6pm for the next Let's Talk Drones as we discuss current UAS-related research and education activities taking place at some of North Carolina's prominent universities.
2021 AUVSI Ridge & Valley Conference: Partnerships for Autonomy
The Ridge and Valley Chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) seeks to advance unmanned systems technology and to raise awareness of the region as a center of technical expertise. An essential element in the advancement of unmanned systems is partnership. Of course, robotic systems are increasingly interconnected with each other and with the people who use them; these partnerships are driving critical advances in autonomy and robotics. But human partnerships are also critical. Research partnerships spawn transformational new technologies. Workforce development partnerships provide a reliable flow of adaptable, well-trained workers. Economic development partnerships create conditions to accelerate commercial growth.
UTM/AAM Braving New England Weather
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are increasingly being used in New England states in support of public safety operations and infrastructure inspections. The coming years will see more advanced operations with services that include aerial package delivery and passenger transport, connecting urban centers with rural communities. These services will face New England weather – windy fall days, hot summers and snowy winters- and microclimates that change as you travel from the coastal waters to the valleys.
Can our existing weather observation infrastructure meet the needs of this new industry?
What do we need to do to prepare our region to have weather-safe operations?

Autonomous systems - cutting-edge innovation in military and civilian applications
July 5, 2021 Expo Tel Aviv
Unmanned systems at sea, in the air and on the ground form the spearhead in the integration of innovative technologies in our lives. Autonomous vehicles, drone delivery, flying taxis.. Some of them are already here, and their integration in our daily lives is happening more swiftly than we can imagine.
Cascadia ACES Northwest 2021 Seminar Series
Advanced/Urban Air Mobility systems are already transporting freight and people using safe, quiet, and reliable all-electric multi-rotor aircraft. The Pacific Northwest’s largest cities provide for use cases that could dramatically improve disaster response and access to medical care while providing mobility options that advance equity and sustainability.
Hear from those already using these systems and contribute your ideas and share your experiences in this multi-day ACES (Autonomous-Connected-Electric Shared) Northwest Network Seminar Series event!
