Clearpath Robotics Inc., the developers of the self-driving material transport vehicle OTTO, have been chosen to supply more self-driving vehicles for assembly line conveyance to John Deere’s operations in Horicon, Wisconsin. Clearpath provides hardware, software and services to enable enterprise self-driving vehicle development and fleet operation.

OTTO allows customers to improve throughput, reduce costs and to stay flexible with the evolving needs of their material flow process, according to a company press release. It also provides infrastructure free navigation, obstacle avoidance, human-safe collaboration and a payload capacity of 3,000 pounds.

“Clearpath’s goal is to redefine manufacturing with OTTO self-driving vehicles,” says Clearpath CEO Matt Rendall. “John Deere is a pillar of America’s manufacturing economy, and we are thrilled to supply them with OTTO vehicles to drive productivity.”
