To request certification for your platforms and components, please complete the submission form, which requires the payment of a submission fee.
How to Apply
Organizations interested in Green UAS certification are invited to submit an application using the online form and provide a credit card for the submission fee*.
AUVSI, as the program owner, will review all submissions for eligibility. Eligible applicants will be notified and scheduled for an onboarding call.
To initiate the assessment process:
- Applicants will enter into agreements with AUVSI, the Green UAS Program Owner, and one of our approved Penetration & Vulnerability Assessors directly.
- Applicants must provide documentation and details as outlined in the Green UAS framework.
- The standard assessment process takes approximately 6–8 weeks but is highly dependent on information submission and responses from the applicant, as well as Assessor testing availability.
- Upon completion, AUVSI and it’s assessors will review the assessment reports.
- If the product meets Green UAS framework requirements, certification will be granted, or remediation pathways will be offered to the applicant.
Certified platforms and components will:
- Be listed on the Green UAS Cleared or Certified list on the AUVSI Green UAS website
- Have the opportunity to share assessment results with DCMA and be listed on the Blue UAS Cleared list on the Blue UAS website
* The credit card provided on the submission form will not be charged the submission fee provided that the applicant proceeds with and executes a certification contract within 30 days of submitting the application. If no certification contract is executed within 30 days, the submission fee will be charged. This fee will be applied as a credit toward the certification fee if certification is pursued at a later date.
Please note: Certification is not guaranteed. Applicants that do not initially meet the requirements may be offered the opportunity to remediate and resubmit.
Green UAS Platform Assessment Pricing
AUVSI’s Green UAS pathways are designed to meet manufacturers where they are, offering both a rapid-turn Green UAS Cleared option and a full-scope Green UAS Certification for deeper assurance, security alignment, and long-term mission support.
Pricing reflects the level of rigor required at each tier. All applicants begin with a short application that enables scoping and ensures the correct pathway. The application fee is waived when an organization proceeds with assessment.
Each pathway includes a detailed compliance evaluation, with penetration testing quoted individually based on platform architecture, payload complexity, and component diversity. Testing complexity ranges widely across small, simple systems and larger, more integrated platforms.
