Assessment of the UxS systems’ connectivity for remote operations and management to assure that command and control (C2) of UxS systems can only be conducted by authorized operators, that telemetry and mission data transmitted by UxS systems is protected and secure to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently not available for drones that wish to go from Green to Blue.
- Regulatory Compliance. Controls provide reasonable assurance that UxS Systems comply with applicable cyber security laws and regulations and that the UxS System operator understands risks based on the operational context of the UxS System.
- GCS Security. Controls provide reasonable assurance that any GCS used to remotely control UxS Systems is secure from both physical and logical unauthorized access and that software systems are guarded against the introduction of malware.
- Incident Planning and Management. Controls provide reasonable assurance that emergency responses scenarios and actions have been planned and practiced.
- Infrastructure Connectivity and Messaging. Controls provide reasonable assurance that connections with infrastructure systems are secured and that messaging between UxS Systems and infrastructure components is authenticated, integrity protected, and where applicable encrypted.
- Mission Operations. Controls provide reasonable assurance that mission data transmitted from UxS Systems is encrypted, authenticated, and the integrity of such data is protected.
- Remote Controller and Mobile Application Security. Controls provide reasonable assurance that handheld remote controllers and mobile application software do not introduce vulnerabilities into the command and control link with a UxS System.
- Secure Command and Control (C2). Controls provide reasonable assurance that command and control messages transmitted to the UxS System are authentic and legitimate.
- Secure Telemetry. Controls provide reasonable assurance that telemetry data transmitted from a UxS System cannot be modified or spoofed.
- Traffic Management. Controls provide reasonable assurance that UxS Systems transmit necessary information to traffic management systems.
- UxS System Tracking and Management. Controls provide reasonable assurance that UxS Systems can be tracked and managed remotely.
