Board of Directors
The AUVSI Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the Association. The board determines the mission and focus of AUVSI, sets year and long-term goals and objectives, reviews new programs and initiatives, approves the annual operating plan and budget, and monitors the ongoing financial affairs of the organization.

Advocacy Committees
The AUVSI advocacy committees set the legislative and regulatory priorities for the Association based on input and feedback from the membership. The committees focus at the federal level and develop policy positions, priorities, and talking points to enable all AUVSI members to speak with a unified voice as advocates for the growth of the uncrewed systems industry.

AUVSI Chapters
AUVSI chapters enable members to connect with their local uncrewed systems community throughout the year, providing a variety of networking and educational opportunities at a local and regional level across the U.S. and around the world. Chapters are volunteer led and memberships reflect the diversity of the broader AUVSI network, including industry professionals, academics and government officials. Many chapters are also involved in advocating for the industry at the state and local government levels.

Educating prospective users on the safe and responsible operation of UAS, Know Before You Fly is organized in partnership with AUVSI, the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), and is supported by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Information covers both recreational and commercial use of drone systems and is distributed through the channels of over 100 partner organizations.
