AUVSI to Host Webinar on New Automotive Standards Accelerating the Development of Autonomous Vehicles

Industry experts will discuss best practices for developing a future-proof platform
for autonomous vehicles

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar to discuss new automotive standards accelerating the development of autonomous vehicles. The webinar will take place Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 3 p.m. EDT.

The race for connected and autonomous vehicles is accelerating technology innovation. To fully leverage innovation, however, a standards-based communications foundation must exist to support the immense amount of data passed between applications and sensors, while enabling safe and secure operations.

The adoption of standards has historically resulted in rapid and profound acceleration of technology. CAN and AUTOSAR are examples of standards that have enabled the advancement of many conveniences, as well as luxury and safety features, in low-end vehicles. This webinar will explore what standards are positioned to do the same for autonomy.

“A Foundation for Autonomy – New Automotive Standards Accelerate Development of Autonomous Vehicles,” is sponsored by Real-Time Innovations (RTI) The online session will educate attendees on best practices for developing a future-proof platform for autonomous vehicles. In addition, registrants will be introduced to the concept of data centricity and understand how to leverage a data-centric architecture to enable next-generation collaborative, connected, safe and secure systems.

Featured as a speaker is Bob Leigh, Senior Director of Market Development, Autonomous Vehicles, at RTI.

Registration for the webinar is complimentary for all attendees. Registration will close on June 6 at 11 a.m. EDT. For more information or to register, contact AUVSI@clsstrategies.com.
