AUVSI Rocky Mountain Chapter Hosts Successful XPONENTIAL 2023 Kick-Off Event

The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Rocky Mountain Chapter successfully hosted a spectacular kick-off event, “Colorado KO: Presented by Wing,” or “CO KO,” on May 8, 2023, at Coors Field in Denver. The event served as a vibrant prelude to the highly anticipated XPONENTIAL 2023 conference and witnessed a groundbreaking moment with the pioneering autonomous drone delivery by Wing, bringing peanuts and beer to the field.

The highlight of the CO KO event was undoubtedly the historic drone delivery by Wing, which potentially marked the very first autonomous drone delivery into a professional sports stadium. This technological feat showcased the remarkable capabilities of uncrewed systems and exemplified the future of innovative delivery methods.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to our invaluable sponsors, whose support made the Colorado KO event and the autonomous drone delivery by Wing possible,” said Lora O’Toole, the president of the AUVSI Rocky Mountain Chapter. “Their commitment to advancing the uncrewed systems industry is truly commendable.”

As the presenting sponsor of the CO KO event, Wing played a pivotal role in making the event a success. Their innovative technology and unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of autonomous systems have set a new standard in the industry. Wing’s contribution has not only added excitement to the event but has also sparked discussions around the potential applications of autonomous drones in various sectors.

Additionally, the AUVSI Rocky Mountain Chapter would like to extend special recognition to the gold sponsors of the event, Airspace Link and Cyberhawk. Airspace Link’s expertise in providing safe and efficient airspace management solutions has been instrumental in promoting responsible use of uncrewed systems. Cyberhawk, a global leader in aerial inspection, surveying and data visualization software, has consistently demonstrated excellence in leveraging drone technology to enhance operational efficiency, safety and data democratization across industries.

“The support and partnership of Wing, Airspace Link, and The Cyberhawk have been instrumental in the success of the CO KO event and the advancement of the uncrewed systems industry. We are truly grateful for their commitment and dedication,” added O’Toole.

The CO KO event, co-hosted by AUVSI and Messe Düsseldorf North America, set the stage for the premier annual gathering of global leaders and end-users of uncrewed technologies, XPONENTIAL. Attendees were treated to an evening filled with camaraderie, exciting entertainment, and breathtaking views of the city and mountains from the iconic Coors Field.

The proceeds were directed towards supporting the AUVSI Rocky Mountain Chapter’s mission of fostering industry growth, promoting the safe and responsible use of uncrewed systems, and advocating for regulatory policies aligned with these objectives.

The CO KO event offered attendees a relaxed and informal atmosphere to connect with industry pioneers, government representatives, and technology enthusiasts. It served as an ideal opportunity to kick off XPONENTIAL 2023 in style while nurturing new collaborations and sparking innovative ideas.
