AUVSI Chapter Council Elects New Leadership

The AUVSI mission is to foster a future where uncrewed systems and autonomous technologies are widely embraced and effectively utilized to transport people, goods, and data safely and efficiently. As part of this goal, AUVSI supports networking and educational opportunities for professionals and organizations across various domains and sectors.
AUVSI local chapters further this mission by facilitating industry connections, promoting community engagement, and supporting STEM education outreach.
AUVSI’s President’s Chapter Council recently held elections and elected Chair Lamar Ellis and Vice Chair Wendie Kellington for two-year terms.
Meet the Leadership
Chair Lamar Ellis most recently served as Vice Chair of the Chapter Council and is President of the AUVSI Georgia Chapter. Lamar is a seasoned leader in the uncrewed systems industry with over a decade of experience in drone operations, and has been a driving force in promoting safety, education, and technological integration across various industries. An FAA Safety Team Representative and Georgia DronePro, Lamar has provided aerial data for real estate, litigation, construction, and public safety sectors.
Under Lamar’s leadership, the AUVSI Georgia Chapter has become a leader in uncrewed technology advocacy. Lamar plans to lead the Chapter Council with a focus on commitment to advancing the uncrewed systems industry and support for the AUVSI mission.
Vice Chair Wendie Kellington is President of the AUVSI Cascade Chapter, covering the Pacific Northwest. She is President of Kellington Law Group PC and expert in administrative law matters, including in aviation, aerial rights, and uncrewed vehicles.
Wendie is a frequent state and national presenter on land development, private property rights, governmental entitlements, and navigable airspace. She has a B.S. in Political Science from Southern Oregon University and a JD, Cum Laude, from the University of Puget Sound.
