The Dawn of Drones Awarded “BEST DRONE PODCAST” for 2023

Colorado-based P3 Tech Consulting LLC (P3 Tech), New York’s UpStreem and the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) today proudly announce that their collaboratively presented Dawn of Drones Podcast has been recognized as the “Best Drone Podcast of 2023,” as part of The Droning Company’s 2023 Droning Awards, one of the the preeminent honors for the droning community.

This year, for the first time, The Droning Company invited the public to cast their votes for the products, companies, educators, and other entities who they believed had the most impact on droning in 2023. The original deadline of January 15, 2024 was extended to January 31st. Votes were tallied and winners were announced officially on Monday February 5th.

“Our entire team – Mike Pehel (Producer), Akshata (Production Manager), Natalia (Graphic Designer) and Chelsie Jeppson (AUVSI partner) – is incredibly honored to be celebrated as ‘the best of the best’ in drone podcasts,” said Dawn Zoldi, CEO of P3 Tech Consulting, creator and host of the podcast. 

She continued, “This award means even more to us knowing that our fans showed up and voted for us. We are eternally grateful for all of our show’s guests who give us the privilege of sharing their stories, our viewers who engage with the show, our fellow podcast nominees who also share the important stories in the industry in their own way, and for the Droning Company for hosting this recognition program.”

Since 2021, the popular weekly Dawn of Drones podcast has been connecting a global audience directly with the game-changing people and platforms who continue making a difference in the drone, advanced air mobility (AAM) and autonomous industries. In September 2023, The Drone Girl also listed The Dawn of Drones as one of the Top 8 Drone Podcasts of the Year, for the second year in a row.

The Dawn of Drones is not the only collaboration for this group of leading content creators. Zoldi and producer Pehel also present a monthly Full Crew newscast. It features the leading voices in tech, discussing the hottest topics including AI, IoT, robotics and drones. The format involves candid first impressions of the stories shaping the industry to enable viewers to gain key insights into technologies that are reshaping the world.

Also for the past 2 years, Zoldi and Pehel have partnered with AUVSI on a premier event Law-Tech Connect™ (LTC) Workshop, co-located at the annual XPONENTIAL showcase. Law-Tech Connect provides world-class legal, regulatory and policy knowledge relating to multi-domain uncrewed systems and enabling technologies. This dynamic one-day educational workshop also qualifies as an accredited Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program for attorneys. Registrations for the 3rd Annual LTC Workshop, to take place in San Diego on April 22, 2024, are already live.

This year, the Dawn of Drones team rebranded the show for its 2024 season to the “Dawn of Autonomy” to better reflect the wide range of emerging and autonomy-related technology companies featured on it. This new 45-minute podcast live streams every Wednesday at 9am MT/11 am ET simultaneously to both AUVSI channels (website, YouTube, X) and Zoldi’s (YouTube, X, Facebook, LinkedIn). The podcast’s related Drone Law Connections (DLC) drop-in audio chat club on the Clubhouse app runs once-a-month on the first Thursday every month at 11am MT/1pm ET. All Dawn of Autonomy guests for any given month join the room to talk about their link to that month’s theme (e.g. February – “All About Data”). Zoldi has completely handed over the reins to co-hosts Maggie Schuster and Sam “The Dronist” Scully to moderate these monthly discussions.
