Please join us at the beautiful Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa for the Pacific Northwest's premier unmanned systems and robotics event. Celebrate the grandeur of central Oregon, enjoy superb hospitality, hear from industry leadership, see live UAS demonstrations and engage in awesome networking opportunities! We hope you will choose to support our 2nd Annual AUVSI Cascade Chapter STEM Benefit Dinner, the proceeds from which go to support STEM activities in Oregon and Washington. You'll even have a chance to take home a DJI drone! And please join us on Friday morning for our workshop on Part 107 to hear about common challenges for Remote Operators and then head for the Kah-Nee-Ta Golf Course to round out the conference activities. We look forward to seeing you there! Here's a look at some agenda highlights:

  • Oregon State Representative Rich Vial (R-Scholls), Chair of the Oregon UAS Working Group, addressing UAS legislative activities in Oregon and how they impact you and your business
  • Paul Allen, Commercial Solutions, Insitu, Inc., highlighting innovative new capabilities in aerial reconnaissance for fighting wildfires and other exciting applications for Unmanned Aircraft Systems
  • Investment Bankers Randy Moe of Orca Capital, Mike McElhenney of Houlihan Lokey, Amy Pearl of HATCH Oregon and Jim Huston of Portland See Fund in a panel called “Investing in the Future,” speaking to the role of venture capital in the growth of unmanned systems in the Northwest and beyond
  • Micheal Kass, Sr Research Analyst from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory discussing emerging propulsion research and technologies for unmanned systems
  • Ben Gould, PhD, Naval Research Laboratory, describing the emerging role of hydrogen fuel cells on unmanned systems
  • Northwest UAS Test Range Managers Liz Stalford from Warm Springs, Tim Lachenmeier from Tillamook, Darryl Abling from Pendleton and Dr. Pat Ford from Big Bend Community College in a panel discussing the capabilities available to emerging and existing UAS developers and users – all right here in our own great Northwest
  • Andrew Ziegwied of Autonomous Surface Vessels providing insights into the unmanned marine industry
  • Dr. Leonid Plekhanov, CEO and President of Global Energy Transmission speaking about innovative wireless power transmission solutions for drones
  • …and more:
  • Live demo UAS flying in conjunction with the Warm Springs FAA Designated Test Range
  • Numerous vendor displays right in the conference room and available during our generous networking opportunities
  • Our Famous High Desert Networking Social
  • The Second Annual AUVSI Cascade STEM Benefit Dinner, the proceeds for which go entirely to STEM programs in the Northwest

We’re also hosting a “Remote Pilot’s Workshop” the morning of September 29th, a comprehensive overview of education, training and operational experience presented by Dr. Patrick Ford of Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, WA. Pat will cover the real life lessons learned and what you need to know to safely operate your UAS in various market environments. This is a “must have” workshop and comes free with your registration for the previous evening’s STEM Benefit Dinner!

We offer something for everybody: state policy makers, sea to sky technologies, funding sources, practical implementations and demonstrations, plus vendors who can help you with your unmanned system requirements!

Please take advantage of our special "Early Bird" registration rates through September 14th. And don't delay in booking a room for your stay during the conference by calling Kah-Nee-Ta Reservations at 1-800-554-4786. Make sure you mention you’re with the AUVSI “Drones, Droids and Unmanned Systems” symposium to get special savings on your room rate.
