Host an Open House for National Robotics Week
The AUVSI Foundation, in celebration of National Robotics Week, is encouraging all AUVSI corporate members and student competition teams to hold Open Houses between April 7-15, 2012.
The purpose of National Robotics Week is to increase the public’s awareness of robotic technology through a week-long series of activities held throughout the country. Any events held during that period will be publicized on the NRW website,
www.nationalroboticsweek.org.
Open Houses will give all organizations with robotic-oriented activities the chance to interact with students, media and newly interested robotics enthusiasts such as Scouts. (In 2011, the Boy Scouts of America introduced a new robotics merit badge).
The benefits of these Open Houses include public relations, local awareness, news coverage, recruiting and goodwill.

In 2011, the AUVSI Foundation hosted a student ground robotics demonstration in front of the U.S. Capitol in honor of National Robotics Week. Learn more about the event here.
